With 36 days to sxplore 1200nm of coastline the emphasis of this trip is uncovering the secret coves, spending time taking in the details of nature, slowing down to appreciate the small movements and in doing so find a whole world of detail that others may sail on by. Urchin will spend time observing Fjords, Iceberg, and taking the tenders out for island excursions and hiking local peaks to after birds eye views of the surroundings.
Urchins guests will join Urchin at the docks. After a safety briefing and the chance to familiarize yourself with Urchin the vessel will depart.
This is trip is characterized by anchoring in lesser known bays and coves; visiting shallow inlets and exploring the hundreds of islands that scatter the coast line.
Urchin will look to dock at a marina in where guests will disembark.

Upernavik, Greenland is a unique and picturesque town located in the northernmost part of the country. The town is surrounded by over 200 small islands, making it a great destination for exploring by boat or kayak. Another interesting fact about Upernavik is that it’s home to one of the largest bird sanctuaries in Greenland. The sanctuary is located on Apparsuit Island and is home to over 50 different bird species, including the arctic tern, guillemot, and eider duck. Upernavik is also an important hub for scientific research in the Arctic. The town is home to a research station that studies the impact of climate change on the region’s ecosystems and wildlife. This research is crucial for understanding and mitigating the effects of climate change on a global scale.

Frederikshab, also known as Paamiut, is a town located in southwestern Greenland. This charming town is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, including towering mountains, glaciers, and the deep blue sea. Frederikshab is also known for its traditional handicrafts, including sealskin clothing and intricate carvings. Although the climates is cold and unforgigiving, the landscape offers opportunities for hikes and explorations by kayak. Scuba diving can be arranged for those with the experience to brave the waters in dry-suits.
Packing for a sailing trip means prioritizing clothing that is functional to pack as light as possible as there is not much space on a vessel. Aim to stay warm by layering clothing and bring sun protection. An important consideration is any medicine that you may need may have to be ordered in bulk to last the voyage.
